Our Story
DignityAlert™ is a startup company, the outgrowth of our founder Dagnachew Teshome (Dan) personal experience stemming from an incident where his young child ingested a ball bearing.
When the object did not pass within the time frame the ER doctors indicated, the idea of a tracking device which can alert others when an object is about to be excreted was born.
The concept was expanded to include pets when the family adopted a new dog which proceeded to ruin carpeting and floors due to lack of training and time.
Dan is a software engineer, educator and inventor who holds BS (Computer Science), BS (Biology), BS (Math) and an MS (Computer Science).
